The " Women and Congress for Future’s Economy," took place in Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center (AASSM). Representatives of more than fifty national and international women's organisations attended the meeting.
In the opening session of the two-part " Women and Congress for Future’s Economy," IZIKAD Chairman of the Board Betül Sezgin, EgeYDD Chairman of the Board E. Pınar Kılıç, Chairman of the Board of ESİAD Sibel Zorlu, Chairman of the Board of EGİKAD Şahika Aşkıner, Chairman of the İzmir Village-Koop Union Neptün Soyer, DİSK Chairman Arzu Çerkezoğlu and TÜRKONFED IDK Commission President Reyhan Aktar presented their respective addresses.
Tunç Soyer, mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, and Mehmet Ali Kasalı, chairman of the Board of BASİFED, opened the second session, which was held in congress format.
Throughout the remainder of the session, numerous themes were discussed, including the history of the first Izmir Economics Congress and the Women's Congress, economics and women, democracy and economics, ecology, innovation, gender equality, and women's empowerment.
Dr. Serdar Şahinkaya, Özge Bulut Maraşlı, Güliz Öztürk, Didem Duru, Bekir Ağırdır, Doç. Dr. Özlem Kaygusuz, Raziye İçtepe Akyol, İrem Oral Kayacık, Burak Aydın, Zehra Öney, Elvan Ünlütürk, Dilek Gappi, Nilay Kökkılınç, Buket Uzuner ve Mert Fırat were among the notable speakers who spoke throughout the sessions.
