The second important step in the activities of the Congress for Future’s Economy was taken with the technical workshop the experts of the relevant sectoral institutions were invited. Technical workshop meetings, attended by the invited institutions at the executive expert levels, were held simultaneously on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

In the first sessions of the meetings, the participants were divided into groups of three, discussed the questions prepared by the congress secretariat, prepared written answers. In the second session, each group's spokesperson orally presented the discussions answers obtained in the first sessions to all participants.

The third session was held in the form of forums the participants expressed their contributions suggestions regarding the method content. The mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Tunç Soyer, who attended all the meetings, gave a brief address on the purpose content of the Congress for Future’s Economy informed the attendees of the preparations for the congress.

Workers' group meeting was held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Cultural Center. 44 unions attended the meeting, 35 of which were present physically, 9 were online. Discussions in the meetings, in which institutions participated at the level of managers experts, were mainly shaped around the definition of current problems. Participants had extensive discussions on the most important issues of working life: the level of organization in Türkiye, the obstacles to unionization, the legislation regulating trade rights, the status of the international trade movement. 

Whereas in the afternoon sessions of the workshops, solutions were proposed for the problem areas identified in the first section, discussions were held regarding the possible medium- long-term trends that various sectors may follow.

The final declaration prepared by the congress secretariat for each group will be presented to the participating institutions following an extensive editorial analysis of the meeting's outcomes. Once institutions have completed their assessments of the submitted final declarations, sectoral group meetings' third final phase will commence.
